The IOMFA is backing Play Safe
The Isle of Man FA is backing the Play Safe campaign, which culminates in the Play Safe Weekend, which is this Saturday and Sunday (October 1/2).
Play Safe is a UK-wide campaign run by The FA, officially supported by the NSPCC, designed to help drive greater awareness of the safeguarding practices and cultures across football. Many of our local junior players will wear Play Safe armbands in their games.
This year’s focus remains on the key role of parents/carers in safeguarding, with two main messages being conveyed:
• Are you aware of the vital safeguarding role you play in football?
• Please take the new, short and free safeguarding course specifically developed for parents/carers, which can be accessed here.
