The day success was added by local girls and Manchester United Players Ella Dixon and Tia Lisy who inspired the future players during their question and answer session saying to players ‘they started to play in the playground with the boys from 4 years old and continued from there’.

Amy Beggs-Cairney IOMFA Women and Girls Development Officer says ‘The afternoon went better than I could of hoped for, it was great to see so many new faces for lots of the girls it was the first experience of football so we wanted to make the day as fun and non-competitive to allow them to just enjoy themselves whilst learning new skills. I like to again thank the Volunteers and Schools for supporting the day. It is great to see Ella and Tia giving up there time to work with players on the island.’
