Sarah is hoping to follow in the footsteps of other Manx girls who have made the trip across the water which include Burt Stanley (Arsenal) and more recently Alice Ashe (Chelsea) and Shannon Groves (Everton).

Michael Baker, Assistant Development Officer at the IOM FA, believes Sarah deserves her chance and could inspire other girls. ‘Sarah has worked very hard for this opportunity and is another talented product of Colby AFC junior section and the Isle of Man Player Development Centre. I hope that her hard work pays off and gets a chance to follow other talented females in joining one of the biggest female clubs in the UK’

He also went on to say ‘the quality of players coming through the Girls Player Development Centre is promising with a number of highly talented players at each age group. Hopefully Sarah’s endeavours will motivate the girls in the Centre to reach the elite level of Women’s football in the UK.’
